Belboron is the first day puja during #DurgaPuja. In this puja, Bela or Billo is being hailed for holiness and purity. This puja is done under a wood apple tree and the wood apple tree is hailed. It is a part of Sasthi Puja in Durga Puja. In Sarupeta of Bajali District (earlier Barpeta) Durga Puja has been observed for ages with grandeur. As per assamese culture durga puja is celebrated with assamese fervour.
