The original Lyric Story of this song along with the Judgement of Corruption ones weren't really my favorite. I felt like they were too plain and don't stand out as much as the other Lyric Stories in the Seven Deadly Sins Series. So here I am, re-making them to my current style of editing. And I hope you like it!

STORY:
Damien was born as a girl, this should have brought his family joy but he was still born. Then, Irina Clockworker (taking the form of a white haired woman) replaced his body with the Clockworker's Doll containing the soul of Lillith (convinced that she was Eve). Therefore, Margarita has two souls inside her though she doesn't know it yet.

And so, Margarita was born, however she cannot sleep. No matter how hard she tries or what medicine she drank or took, Margarita never felt tired or exhausted.

Then, their family moved in with the Blankenheim's where Margarita met Kaspar, promising that they'd both marry each other when they were older. Their families had agreed that they will be united as one in marriage.

When Margarita and Kaspar grew up, Kaspar had chanced. he had become a drunk and a compulsive gambler- Wasting all his funds, then he runs into Margarita again who was now a certified doctor. Kaspar, remembering their little "Promise" took the opportunity to marry her and make her his personal money maker.

While she struggled to make money, Kaspar would bring woman from all around Toragay into their house and introduce Margarita as the "Maid" of the house. During the night, Margarita would sleep separate from her husband because in Kaspar's own words "I cannot sleep when I know your gaze is looming over my person".

Then, Julia (Irina in disguise) introduces herself to be "Elluka Clockworker" and comes along to recruit Margarita to join Pere Noël as the Third Sleep Princess. She was to make a medicine- a "Gift" that would help the people of her city to "Rest Better and have pleasant dreams"

Overtime, Margarita slowly lost her sanity. With each failed attempt of her gift that caused people to rest forever. Now, with only one last gift left. The real Elluka comes along to tell Margarita the horrible truth of her "Gift"

Though it was no use, for Margarita had gone crazy. The Princess then drinks the Seventh "Gift" and dies. Her last words were "I'll see you again, my prince Adam".

During the Duel at Merrigod Plateau, Damien and Lillith's souls were separated along. And there they met Levia, Irina and the Demon of Gluttony (taking on the form of Matthew). During the fight, Damien had been saved by Behemo and taken to the moon where Allen (Luke) rest's.

When the third period ended, Damien was one of the troops who faught the Gardener's troops and wished for the Heavenly Ending. Now he resides in the body of an Incubus, though still having the curse of not being able to sleep. He now enjoys his life, away from the events that took place when him and Lillith were still one person.

[ This is not the cannon story, but one made specifically for Damien's backstory. Don't be confused if you read the books and don't see anyone named "Damien" on the series. ]
