There’s a Song is the first single from Noa’s new album, “The Giver and the See” that's coming out on February 26th, created in collaboration with Ruslan Sirota, who also produced the album.
This in itself is a great novelty for Noa and her fans, an evolution of Noa’s 36 years of close collaboration with guitarist Gil Dor, who appears on the album but was not involved in Noa’s creative process. After years of a guitar+voice based career, “There’s a song” and the entire album are an opportunity to meet Noa in the context of mimithe rich, layered textures the piano can afford her unique voice.

The main theme of the song first appeared on Ruslan Sirota’s Grammy award winning album “A lifetime away”. When Noa first heard the piece, she was compelled to write lyrics to it, and later create new parts and developments inspired by improvisation. The lyrics describe Noa’s relationship with music: she feels music as an entity , a friend, with which she has had an ongoing conversation since childhood. Songs are found, they are channeled through the unique receptors a musician is born with, much as a plant transforms light into nutrients through photosynthesis with its own miraculous receptors. For Noa, music chooses the musician to be its humble servant, and not the other way around. Songs are instruments of introspection, perspective, connection, healing, and ultimately, love.

In their live concerts, Noa and Ruslan open the middle section of this song to unbridled, intuitive improvisation, creating new themes, ideas and a musical stream of consciousness every time they perform together. For the studio version, Noa selected one such theme, that recurs throughout the album: the ancient mother and daughter, the roots that give us wings.

Together with her longstanding musical collaborator Gil Dor, accomplished musician and co-founder of the Rimon School of music, Noa has released 15 international albums and graced many of the world's most important and prestigious stages like Carnegie Hall and the White House and has performed for three Popes. She has been mentored by Pat Metheny and Quincy Jones and shared the stage with legends such as Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli and Sting.

In addition to her prolific musical activity, Noa is considered Israel's most prominent cultural advocate of dialogue and co-existence, her "Voice of Peace".

Among her many awards is Commander of Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, one of Italy's highest honors, Pilgrim of Peace from The Franciscan order in Assisi (awarded in the past to Bill Gates and Mother Theresa), and the Christal Award from the World Economic Forum. Noa is Israel's first ambassador to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and is active as board-member and public advocate of a score of Human Rights and Peace organizations in Israel and abroad.
