Nose Hump Removal With Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty - Piezosurgery

Описание к видео Nose Hump Removal With Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty - Piezosurgery

https://drsteiger.com/procedures/rhin... Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty is also known as piezosurgery. The piezotome tool is used in Rhinoplasty surgery to precisely sculpt the nasal bones without creating any trauma to the surrounding tissues. Bones are not broken in the traditional methods of using osteotomes/chisels with hammers. The piezotome allows the Rhinoplasty surgeon to have the best possible accuracy when needed in rhinoplasty surgery. It can also result in less bruising and swelling since the piezo specifically targets bones. The soft tissues of the nose are not traumatized. There are different tools that can be used with the piezotome, this includes saws and rasps. In this video a piezo rasp is being used to shave down and remove/sculpt a nasal hump. This will achieve a smooth nasal dorsum utilizing Piezosurgery.

It is important to understand that the Piezotome is a device and is not a surgical procedure. This is a tool that is used by a Rhinoplasty surgeon in order to help achieve the best possible Rhinoplasty results with the fastest and easiest recovery. Piezosurgery is just one small component of the overall larger surgery and a surgeon must be chosen based on his/her experience and results. A good surgeon will benefit from the piezotome, but the piezotome does not make one a good surgeon.
