Gulen Movement's Turkey Coup Attempt & People's VICTORY!

On the night of July 15, a small military junta linked to the Fethullah Gülen Terrorist Organization (FETO) attempted a coup d’etat against the elected Turkish government and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that ultimately failed. The coup plotters tried to seize key rovinces in Turkey including Istanbul and Ankara. Police forces, a vast majority of the army, the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and members of the bureaucracy stood against the coup attempt, raising their voices after the President’s call to nation to take
streets. A total of 238 lost their lives and 2190 injured.

Gülenists are accused of illegally wiretapping thousands of people, from the prime minister to journalists and other prominent figures. They are also accused of imprisoning critics or anyone seen as an obstacle to the movement's attempts to gain further clout through sham trials. Hundreds of generals, academics and others were detained for years in cases in which they were accused of attempting to stage coups.
It was later revealed that they were detained on charges based on false evidence planted by Gülenist members of law enforcement.

The attempt was prevented by the military loyal to the government along with police units and millions of people in favor of democracy. Over 230 civilians were killed and 2,191 people were injured.
