Marvel Rivals Learned Nothing From Overwatch's Biggest Flaw

I have some issues with Marvel Rivals. While it's easy to ride the wave of hype of a new release, you know I have to keep it real with you guys. Marvel Rivals didn't learn from Overwatch's core problem: What do they want tanks to be? Are tanks bullet sponges or are they the most important player on the battlefield? If they are the most important role, then how can we get the playerbase to play them?
