Here are some tips on how you can and should maximize the effectiveness of your house hunting trips during your relocation (you may have 1, or perhaps more). Be sure to coordinate with your REALTOR so you can make the most of your time, especially if you don't know the area.

If you are working with a relocation package check to see what is covered (e.g., how many trips are allowed, how many days, hotel, air, food, car rental, etc). Make sure you are financially prepared to make an offer on your house hunting trip in case you find the right home on your first (and perhaps ONLY) trip, including having either a current pre-approval letter from your lender or proof of funds (POF).
