In a game where conditions were tough for the players for both sides due to a strong wind and a dusty dry surface. The Seniors entered the Prahran game at Toorak Park wanting the win to cement their place in the Top Four. The match was also important for the Roys to find improvement in their game leading up to the finals.

In the end Fitzroy came away with the all important 4 points kicking 17-17-119 to comfortably defeat Prahran 4-9-33.

The Fitzroy players were excellent in the first half in all areas of the game. The defence was quick to intercept Prahrans attacking moves and there was good pressure applied through the midfield. The 8 goal opening quarter virtually sealed the match there and then.

It was encouraging to see the inclusions of Ben Atherton and Andrew Seddon into the team and they both played very well. Other encouraging signs from the game were the form of Mathew MacKay, Jimmy O'Rielly, Harry Topp and Pat OConnor.

The goal kicking was shared amongst the team with 3 to Ross Borland who was supported with 2 to Chris Polidoras and James ORielly, and 1 each to Pat OConnor, Milos Zika, Vinnie Cahill, Dan Clark, Travis Conn, Isaac Hughson, Mathew MacKay, Andrew Seddon and Oliver Stoltz.
