Storm Warnings & Sheep Talks!
Today’s episode of our daily sheep farming vlog takes place over several hot, humid, and uncertain days here at Ewetopia Farms. The thumbnail title "Sheep Talk" highlights a very special visit we had from a local group of 4H kids who came for a tour of the farm. It’s always rewarding to be able to share our passion for sheep and farming with the next generation.

But the visit was just a bright spot in an otherwise tough week. Daily thunderstorm warnings continue to disrupt our haying schedule—even though actual rainfall has been minimal. We managed to get another batch of dry hay off the field, but the unpredictability of the weather is taking its toll. Ironically, while we’ve paused work multiple times to wait out storms that never really came, the ground is now so dry that our crops are in need of rain to grow properly.

The oppressive heat and humidity haven’t helped, making chores challenging for us and the sheep. We've been doing smaller maintenance tasks around the farm in between weather alerts and trying to keep everyone cool.

Sadly, we end the video on a difficult note. Arnie hasn’t been feeling well, and after a full day of medical testing at the hospital, we are now waiting on results. Because of this, we’ve decided to take a few days (or more) off from YouTube to rest, recharge, and focus on health.
