I hopped onto a local Group Buy through DailyClack to get one of the Space Cadet Deskmats that NovelKeys was running, and it finally got here!

I had to of course support our 2017 Number 1 Fan, OutragedPudding who did the amazing graphics work for the Space Cadet Set, including the desk mat, and I was definitely not disappointed.

The Astronaut graphic is pretty nice, fills a good portion of the mat, leaving you plenty of space for the rest of the desk to show off your board without covering the graphic.

The thickness of the mat was very solid, though standard neoprene, and the edge stitching looks like it'll take a bit of wear before fraying.

As an after-thought which was not mentioned in the video, my wife asked me if the grids were usable as a ruler, and sadly, it isn't. It looks close to 10mm, but it gaps out over distance and does not maintain 10mm spacing correctly, otherwise it would have been another excellent use of the mat!

The other really cool thing I appreciated was that it came with a NovelKeys drawstring bag, where as other mats I've had were just in flimsy plastic, so if I need to pack up this mat and transport it (I did, its now at work), the bag is excellent for that.

Shoutout to DailyClack for making it smooth running on getting one, NovelKeys for a solid product, and of course OutragedPudding for the graphics!

If you get a chance to nab one somehow, I would say it would be definitely worth it.
