(Jeffrey) If you're deaf or hard of hearing, or a very deep sleeper, you may not be able to hear your fire alarm at night. Let me introduce you to the Lifetone fire alarm. The Lifetone fire alarm is also an alarm clock. The Lifetone fire alarm is 85 decibels and it comes with a bed shaker that vibrates your bed. So if you need a louder alarm or if you can’t hear an alarm, the bed shaker vibrating your bed should wake you up.

What's nice about the Lifetone fire alarm is that it does not require any special smoke detectors. You can use the ones installed in your own home as long as they are a T3 pattern. A T3 pattern is 3 consecutive beeps followed by a pause. And then the cycle will repeat itself.

When you first plug in the Lifetone fire alarm, it will go into test mode instead of displaying the time. You have to test the smoke detector that’s farthest away from your Lifetone fire alarm. For example, if your Lifetone fire alarm is in your bedroom, the farthest smoke detector may be in your basement. That's the one you want to test. Make sure that your smoke detectors when you test them, can do at least 6 to 7 cycles. Your Lifetone fire alarm is constantly listening for the T3 pattern of your smoke detectors. It may take a while to pick up the first time.

Once your Lifetone fire alarm recognizes the T3 pattern, you will then be able to set the time and date on your alarm. And also you can set the alarm clock on it. Let me show you what would happen if your smoke detectors ever go off or if there’s ever a fire in your own home.

(Voiceover) The video transitions to the Lifetone HL Bedside Fire Alarm and Clock situated on a nightstand. Smoke detectors sound off in the background. The display on the Lifetone Fire Alarm and clock switches from showing the time to flashing the word “FIRE” once it detects the T3 pattern in the smoke detectors. As soon as the display flashes FIRE, the Lifetone Fire alarm will also sound off an alarm sound and say “FIRE, Get Out” in English followed by Spanish. The bed shaker, not shown in the video, also vibrates the bed.

(Voiceover) The video transitions to an image of the front of the Lifetone HL Bedside Fire Alarm and Clock. The clock is white in color and rectangular in shape. It measures 8" X 4" X 4".

On the left half of the device is a display with an adjustable orange backlight. At the top of the display is a clock that displays the time. In smaller numbers below the time, is the set alarm clock time. Next to the alarm set time are numbers that display the current date. On the right half of the front of the device is the alarm speaker. The speaker must be positioned towards the user’s pillow.

A plug-in round bed shaker is also pictured in front of the Lifetone HL Bedside Fire Alarm and Clock device. The bed shaker vibrates a user’s bed whenever the alarm clock or smoke detectors sound off. Please note that the Lifetone Fire alarm is not a smoke detector.

(Voiceover) The video switches to Jeffrey in a bedroom setting. Jeffrey is standing in front of a bed where he first places the bed shaker in between the mattress and box springs. He then demonstrates the alarm clock feature of the Lifetone device.

(Jeffrey) Now we're going to set the alarm. Essentially it works the same way as if the smoke detectors were going off. The only difference is you’re not going to hear, “Fire get out.” You're just going to hear the alarm going off and possibly you’ll hear the bed shaker vibrating the bed.

And that's all there is to it.
