Snake III - Adventure Mode - Mobile Gaming on Nokia C2-01

I discovered my old Nokia C2-01 handset - charged it up and had an evening of playing some of the games still on it. Surprisingly fun although sometimes hard to play through the camera viewfinder as I had to try to play by feel where the buttons are.

This is a quick off-screen video of Snake III - a 3d version of the classic game that came with Nokia handsets. The "Snake" concept is one of the oldest in gaming but works perfectly for these type of phones with small screens. The first versions were on their monochrome handsets and this also has multiplayer which is a nice touch. This is the Adventure Mode which adds to the standard formula by adding items that cause different effects such as reversing direction of travel, temporarily speeding you up, slowing you down etc Other areas open up as you play. It plays ok but I much prefer the Snakes version that they released on N-Gage in 2005 and then made available on later handsets (check my videos to see this)

I try to keep the phone still and apologies that my thumb sometimes comes into shot.
