For a robot to effectively operate the elevator, it must first communicate with the elevator control system of the building. This interaction employs wireless communication technology, allowing the robot to issue a command to call the elevator, which informs it to stop at the designated floor. Once the elevator control system processes the robot's request, it replicates the action of a person pressing the floor buttons inside the elevator, activating the corresponding floor indicator lights to show the elevator's destination. The elevator then begins its journey, either ascending or descending to the requested floor, in readiness to receive the robot. At the same time, the elevator sends a notification to the robot, instructing it to prepare for entry.
