Three Days of Training with Bastien Marché – Honest Exchange Between Trainers
Bastien Marché joined us for three days of training. In this video, we show two of his searches (Single Blind, old hides) and share the open discussions between Bastien and Flo about the performance of Bastien and his dog.
The two trainers are longtime friends, which allows them to work together with full honesty – without sugarcoating and with a focus on addressing problems directly. Different perspectives are discussed, and training ideas are exchanged.

Bastien and his dog are a strong team, but Flo points out several key aspects, including:
– Avoiding active behavior in the indication (TFR – trained final response)
– Variable reinforcement
– Blank searches
– Not placing one’s own odor samples in blinds or operational searches
– Handling re-finds of already indicated targets
