2.09.2022 - [Lesson 4] - Years 5 to 10 After Prophethood

[11:58] The muhājirūn that made the first migration to Abyssinia came back to Makkah after hearing the rumor that the kuffār of Quraysh had become Muslim.
[12:20] The Muslims who returned to Makkah were of 2 types.
[12:23] 1.) Those who remained in Makkah until the migration to Madīnah.
[12:27] 2.) Those who went back to Abyssinia.
[12:50] Some of these Muslims remained in Abyssinia for 10 years.
[13:30] The fifth year after the Biʿthah (being sent as a prophet).
[13:45] The prophet ﷺ continued being persecuted. He ﷺ remained in Makkah and continued giving daʿwah after some of the Muslims went back to Abyssinia.
[13:54] Quraysh used different methods to try to disprove and fight against the daʿwah of the messenger ﷺ, including:
[14:03] 1.) Mujādalāt – Argumentation to disprove the prophet ﷺ
[14:47] Quraysh asked Muḥammad ﷺ what was the food that Yaʿqūb made ḥarām upon himself.
[17:14] They asked Muḥammad ﷺ how does the child resemble the mother or the father.
[18:23] 2.) Quraysh approached Abū Ṭālib who was protecting the prophet ﷺ to ask him to stop the daʿwah.
[19:20] 3.) Ṭalab Al-Muʿjizāt wa Al-Khawāriq – Seeking miracles and unnatural occurrences to take place.
[21:12] The fifth year of Prophethood: The Splitting of the moon.
[21:14] Quraysh asked for a clear cut sign.
[21:35] The prophet ﷺ pointed towards the moon.
[21:44] The moon split into 2.
[23:25] The sixth year after Prophethood. ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb and Hamzah Ibn ʿAbdul Muṭṭalib embraced Islām.
[24:05] The Islām of ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb
[26:00] ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb heard Muḥammad ﷺ reciting Qur’ān in front of the Kaʿbah and said ‘he must be a poet...[27:31] this narration is not authentic
[30:09] ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb came to Dārul Arqam where the ṣaḥābah used to meet for daʿwah [31:04] ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb took shahādah.
[33:43] ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb was the first to make his Islām manifest
[33:47] And the first to gather the companions in front of the Kaʿbah with Muḥammad ﷺ for the ṣalāh.
[33:56] The Islām of Hamzah Ibn ʿAbdul Muṭṭalib
[34:43] Hamzah Ibn ʿAbdul Muṭṭalib struck Abū Jahl in the head with his bow for speaking badly about Muḥammad ﷺ
[36:40] Quraysh felt threatened by the Muslims strengthening in Abyssinia and the strength that ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb and Hamzah Ibn ʿAbdul Muṭṭalib added to the Muslims in Makkah.
[38:42] The Boycott of Banu Hāshim and Banu Muṭṭalib
[38:42] During the seventh year after Prophethood, Quraysh came together to conspire a plot to boycott Banu Hāshim and Banu Muṭṭalib, the 2 subsections that Muḥammad and his uncles were connected to from Quraysh.
[42:14] The boycott stated there would be no buying, selling, trade, marriage and socializing.
[42:43] Banī Hāshim secluded themselves in a mountain gorge.
[42:43] When Banī Hāshim heard of this boycott, they decided they would seclude themselves away from Quraysh.
[42:55] They secluded themselves in a mountain gorge that was from the mountain gorges of Abū Ṭālib.
[43:18] Quraysh cut off Banu Hāshim and Banu Muṭṭalib until they would surrender Muḥammad ﷺ to them.
[43:43] Banu Hāshim and Banu Muṭṭalib (the Muslims and kuffār among them) refused to surrender Muḥammad ﷺ to Quraysh.
[43:50] Banī Hāshim and Banī Muṭṭalib were boycotted for 3 long years. [43:56] They suffered hunger and hardship for 3 years because they refused to give up one of their tribesmen.
[44:19] Abū Ṭālib continued to protect Muḥammad ﷺ during this boycott even though he was harmed.
[44:24] Only Abu Jahl refused to seclude himself with Banū Hāshim and Banī Muṭṭalib in the mountain gorge.
[47:15] Muḥammad ﷺ supplicated against the man that made and wrote the pact (of the boycott) and he became paralyzed in the side that he used to write.
[47:31] The ninth year after Prophethood. Termites ate the entire scroll that the pact was written upon except the place that had the Name of Allāh
[49:26] During the 10th year after Prophethood: the death of Abū Ṭālib.
[54:03] Abū Ṭālib agreed Islām was the truth but never became Muslim.
[55:02] The 10th year after Prophethood 3 days after the death of Abū Ṭālib, Khadījah, the prophet’s ﷺ wife died
[55:34] The 10th year after Prophethood. The Prophet ﷺ remarries.
[55:36] The marriage contract between ʿĀ’ishah and Muḥammad ﷺ was established in the month of Shawwāl.
[56:39] The prophet ﷺ married his wife Sawdah in Shawwāl
[57:00] Muḥammad ﷺ went To Call The People of Ṭā’if.
[57:13] Muḥammad ﷺ went to Ṭā’if and had the most difficult bout of daʿwah thus far.
[58:04] The people of Ṭā’if sent their women and children to stone the prophet ﷺ
[58:21] They stoned him ﷺ until blood ran from his head and covered his sandles.
[59:04] Allāh sent the ‘Angel of the Mountains’ to Muḥammad ﷺ [59:31[ to offer him to cause the 2 mountains to crush the whole city of Ṭā’if.
[1:00:14] Muḥammad ﷺ rejected the offer and hoped that Allāh would make their offspring Muslim and worship Allāh alone
