Part one here: • How to Hit Gold Cap Before Warlords of Dra...
Hey there guys, and welcome to the first update in my quest to hit gold cap before the release of Warlords of Draenor! In this video we're going to go over a few things related to the topic of "Search." Oh, and this was made just before the Whelpling Video, but didn't quite finish it. Wanted to get that one out first.
Daily Goal formula:
(WoD Goal - Current Gold) / 30 days (or number of days until WoD) = Daily gold you should make
Searching for Ore - 1:18
You can find the blog post I mention here: http://wtbgold.blogspot.com/2013/09/m...
This concept applies to herbalism to, but essentially, anyone who uses ore - Jewelcrafters, Blacksmiths, and in Warlords of Draenor, Alchemists, Inscriptionists, and pretty much every profession, is faced with the dilemma of mining vs buying the ghost iron ore. In the end, it comes down to: it's better to buy ore if you're willing to actually go run a dungeon to recuperate the potential gold you would have made IF you had mined. It's confusing, but it makes sense once you think about it.
Search the Auction House (Sniper Scans) - 4:47
These are amazing and come from Sterling's Guide on the Consortium Forums. http://stormspire.net/consortium-qual...
They may need to be updated for WoD items, but the basic concept is amazeballs. Every time you go to the AH, before you post, do a quick scan for cheap stuff. You don't even have to scan the full Auction House, but just pick the market you focus on or have the best luck on your server. If you like transmog like I do, great. If you have a good material operation set up, do that and get cheap mats. Patch 6.0 temporarily broke the TSM Source that I mention in the guide (they reset the data) so it needs some time to accumulate for the averages. Should be up soon. Use DBMarket or another source until then.
Searching for Transmog and BoEs - 9:24

My recommendations here are to first, get a schedule. It helps to write it down, but that can feel silly for a game, I get it. We're in a race against the clock though guys! Second, each dungeon from different expansion drops more or less the same type of transmog/gear. So find your favorite from Vanilla, Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, and Mists of Pandaria. Once you have your 5 dungeons picked out, run the first dungeon 5 times, post the stuff (or use it to craft items). The next day, do the same with the second dungeon. Bam! You're on an easy schedule with two days off where you can raid, or whatever. Also, you're rich now. Grats. Throw in Molten Core. I didn't mention it in the video but it's a nice spot. Any pet farming you want to do from raids or open world is a bonus...actually, not gonna get into battle pets. That's a whole other can o' worms. ;P
