If you are looking for an automotive key programming tool, or chasing the best auto key programming tool, or an all round key programmer, it's worth considering the XTOOL InPlus IK618 auto key programmer. Whether you are into programming BMW keys or programming Mercedes keys, the IK618 will certainly program a fair amount of models, even though it doesn't program every single key. No one scanner can program every car. That said, it is still one of the best car key programmers; an affordable key programmer at that. It comes with the KC100, as well as an EEPROM adapter. Optional accessories such as the KC-501 and KS-1 further expand generating keys for Mercedes Benz, BMW etc, and Toyota/Lexus smart entry, all keys lost. Other accessories include the M821, M822 and KS2, depending on the car brand you want to program. This is a cheaper alternative to the Autel IM508 or IM608.
