As part of Disneyland's 70th anniversary, Disney debuted a new show called Walt Disney: A Magical Life. The show features an ultra lifelike animatronic of Walt Disney, depicting him as he was in 1963.

Walt Disney Imagineering has called this animatronic their moonshot, requiring seven years of work and several technological breakthroughs to bring to life. But unlike other recent advanced animatronics, fan reaction to this AA has been mixed, to say the least. Comments I've personally gotten range from amazed, to snarky, to downright hating on it.

In this video, I'm diving deep on the new animatronic. What is amazing about it, what its shortcomings are, and how it stacks up to other recent animatronics. Most importantly, I dig into why many people are reacting so negatively to it, and why everyone is thinking about this animatronic in the wrong way.
