In this episode I endeavour to fix the 50hp Mercury 4 stroke on the back of my bass boat , fist step though is to remove the powerhead from the lower leg and get it inside for an evaluation.

Motor is a 2000 model Mercury 4 stroke 50hp with unknown hours. The last boating trip had seen the motor not being able to rev higher than 2k revs, and when the oil was checked she was milky.
So the next logical step was to check the compression and head gasket.

Over the next few episodes we will see what the extent of the damage and how we overcame the obstacles.
