A great study by Burgmuller "The limpid Stream" or "The Clear Stream" from 25 Easy and Progressive Studies. It provides a very solid and valuable basis for many technical challenges. These are fantastic little pieces, each concentrating on a specific aspect of piano playing: phrasing, articulation, finger dexterity etc. The "25 Easy and Progressive Studies" are thought to be one of Burgmuller's most famous piano set and should be included in every student's repertoire. The pieces have descriptive titles such as the famous "Arabesque", "Ballade" and "Pastoral".
These easer studies will prepare students for better understanding of romantic music, because these studies have so many romantic elements. They are easy to master and will help overcome difficulties in more complex works.
