Am I Too Old To Be Creative?

Many times throughout my career I have been told there is an age where essentially you will no longer be able to generate creative ideas. This is a scary concept for a quant as our job is to generate new ideas and solutions. Most of us have a passion or desire to generate something new that will truly change the world.

The short version, I don't buy it. However people change their perspectives as you have families and you become older. You value time spent with loved ones over hours of studying and working. Work can remain interesting and fulfilling however more free time is spent with people and not ideas and books.
