Neural DSP Nano Cortex | THE FULL Truth & Unbiased Review | All 25 Factory Amps w/ Fender 50's Strat

Описание к видео Neural DSP Nano Cortex | THE FULL Truth & Unbiased Review | All 25 Factory Amps w/ Fender 50's Strat

Are you happy with the current big brand gear market? This is a must watch before buying NDSP! You will only see it here: even if it hurts, the truth must be said so as to build a better gear future. For the sake of complete objectivity, no opinion will be included in this review. We only bring you the facts, you decide what to personally believe. And write your detailed opinion below!!

Hardware (vs 130 EUR unnamed entry level modeler):
costs 4.38 times more
it is not a standalone unit (vs full standalone with treadle included)
requires external devices to access many of its features (vs no devices necessary)
devices not included in price (vs no devices necessary)
very limited physical controls (vs full effect controls)
only one single control allowed for effects (vs complete complex effect controls)
no screen (vs has color screen)
same absence of XLR (present on most 270EUR modelers)
same absence of FX loop (present on most 270EUR modelers)
has a “Capture” feature (vs no capture/profiling feature)

Software (vs 130 EUR unnamed entry level modeler):
7 blocks (vs 9 blocks)
same absence of block mobility (present on most 270EUR modelers)
25 amps (vs 40 amps)
5 effects (vs 65 effects)
zero complex controls (vs full complex controls)
no boost or drive block (vs 20 different drives and fuzzes)
more amps and effects available strictly via app on external non-included devices

There are three root causes for these phenomena:

1. Poor concept:
competing products here (with one big brand exception) offer standalone units
NDSP Nano Cortex IS NOT a standalone unit
even with the app included, it is far less featured than most 300EUR modelers
either it should have been priced at 300EUR and under
or it should have been an entirely different product at 600EUR

2. Poor implementation:
the complex effects are allotted a single button, just as much as the much simpler SAVE function
“Capture” feature, SAVE and EXIT can be condensed more than they are so as to allow more controls for effects, but they are not
a secondary effect mode making use of the knobs would also allow deep editing even without hardware changes, but it is absent

3. Wasteful marketing excesses:
long expensive pre-launch campaign
extremely expensive on-launch demo campaign

These are the facts. We won't tell you what to believe. We won't tell you what we like or dislike about the Nano Cortex. Your opinion is what we want to hear. What do you believe? Let us know in the comments below!
