Trike Tractor Trio| 2x Valtra N174 + John Deere 6125R | 6 machines, 5 jobs

Last year we visited Dutch contracting company Profytodsd and saw their unique N174 trike in action:    • Super Stretch | Valtra N174 Direct tr...  . The conversion worked out so well they decided to create another one! So for the 2019 drilling season all seedbed preparation is carried out by not 1 but 2 N174 Direct SmartTouch tractors in a trike configuration. To level the soil in front of the home made seedbed preparator individually pivoting cultivators are used. The whole set-up has been created by Ruud Borgijink Technische Dienstverlening.

However, this is not the only trike tractor we encounter in this particular field! After having prepared a seedbed silverskin onions are drilled using a modified John Deere 6125R. Before drilling could begin the hard baked ploughed soil had to be softened by irrigation using a 3-axle AP hose-reel irrigator. After seedbed preparation first nitrogen fertiliser is spread using another of Veco's 6125R's and a modified trailed Amazone fertiliser spreader. This is followed by Profytodsd's Agrifac Condor spraying liquid phosphate fertiliser. All this action took place with some lovely flowering tulip fields in the background.
