Описание к видео Early Up Potting Tips - Bigger is better

This video shows tips and trick that will produce some of your strongest and healthiest seedlings ever. Root training system using 32oz cups. Bigger is better for up potting seedlings.

"Early Up Potting Tips - Bigger is better," Here I show some of the benefits of using larger cups for starting seedlings and "root training".

The 32oz cups allow my plants to develop extensive root systems without becoming root bound. I’m going to show examples of how this root training system works as compared to plants started in seed starting cells..
Allowing the seedlings the extra space leads to faster and more vigorous growth, resulting in healthier and more productive plants.
Because the root system is more developed the seedlings are less likely to experience transplant shock when moved to the garden.

While there is some debate over using styrofoam, there are many other options to explore. Repurposed cups (likely from restaurants) in 32 oz sizes.
I creates drainage holes 2 inches from the bottom of the cups using a soldering iron.
adding sand to the bottom of the cup that create a "capillary effect" to draw water up to the roots in the compost.
My seedling mix is 2 parts compost, 1 part perlite, and 1 part vermiculite.

I have used these 32oz cups with tomato varieties like (Goliath bush, Queen of the Night, Black Cherry, Amish Paste) and I have grown them in different sized cups. The 32oz cups are best for growth and root development.
Chocolate peppers and poblano peppers thriving in the cup system.
I demonstrates how to up-pot seedlings into the larger cups, emphasizing the importance of gently handling the roots as well as the importance of recycling and repurposing the cups instead of throwing them away.
