In episode 16 of my Turkey travel vlog series, I see what you can buy in Istanbul for $10 during a day of exploring the city.

Throughout the day, I share some typical prices you can expect to pay for different items whilst travelling Istanbul, Turkey. I start the day by getting some coffee, before getting some Turkish Street food called Simit, I also enjoy a traditional Turkish meal and Turkish coffee to end the day.

I also share prices for the metro in Istanbul and sim card prices for tourists travelling around Turkey and people planning on visiting Istanbul.

All prices shown were accurate as over December 2021, the prices displayed were in Turkish Lira and USD. The conversion rate at the time of recording was 12.5 Turkish lira = 10 USD.

Disclaimer: Unfortunately, the Turkish Lira was going through some stability issues during
my time in Turkey. When I arrived in the country 1 USD = 9.85 TL. By the time I left the country, 1 USD was worth 15 TL. Whilst this does give tourists more value for money, it is certainly not something to celebrate as a tourist. Changes in currency, like the one I witnessed, have a major impact on the locals more than anyone else. This video is simply to show the prices of things in Istanbul. I hope the currency situation improves for everyone in Turkey as soon as possible!
