MISSING PERSON OF THE DAY — Dr. Sneha Anne Philip

On September 10th, 2001, 31-year-old physician Dr. Sneha Anne Philip was last confirmed on surveillance footage at the Century 21 department store across from the World Trade Center. She bought about $550 worth of items — clothing, linens, shoes, and cosmetics — around 7 p.m.

What happened next has never been proven.

Some investigators and media sources claim Sneha may have returned to her apartment later that night. Evidence cited includes:

A 4:00 a.m. phone call from the apartment landline to her husband

A silhouetted figure entering the building on lobby footage at 8:43 a.m. on 9/11, with hair and clothing similar to Sneha’s

But none of this can be confirmed.
The footage is too blurry for an ID, and no remains or belongings were ever found.

When the 9/11 attacks began, Sneha lived only a few blocks away in Battery Park City. In 2008, a New York court ruled she likely died while assisting at Ground Zero, and her name now appears on the National September 11 Memorial.

But without conclusive evidence placing her at the towers, her disappearance remains unsolved.
