The Slugger on Jingle Juvies plays better than the Soldier on Gears of War 4. This kinda caught me by surprise because I always thought that Soldier being a 2-in-1 mix of the Veteran and Slugger with no ult would overall do better with constant onslaughts of Juvies, but I was wrong. Having the purchasable grenades from the fabricator, on top of grenade resupply, and on top of that Ultimate makes Slugger one of the best picks for this game mode.

A few barricades to clog up enemies at choke points, throw down some shock grenades, and you end up being a part of the fortifications by having these AOE balls of hurt right toward the frontline.

Then, if you get Scions, DR-1's, or any variety of enemies, you've got your ultimate handy to stun them to oblivion while your teammates fill in the extra damage needed.

This is the 2nd match of Jingle Juvies I've done with the Slugger, and all in all Shock Grenades seem like the best fit. Frag grenades are great for that immediate burst damage, but the prolonged damage of shocks with the crowd control field that they provide over incendiary grenades made them my go-to. On top of that, the reason why this is my 2nd match is because I downed myself with frags on a Turbine match and a Juvie was right there to make sure I didn't get back up. Try shocks!
