A shocking case has emerged from Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan where several children lost their lives after consuming a cough syrup. From kidney failure cases in Chhindwara to deaths in Bharatpur and Sikar, suspicion strongly points towards the same medicine. While the government has banned the batches and NCDC is investigating, the pharma company’s tainted history raises bigger questions.
