Hello Shrimp People!

If your #1 goal is breeding shrimp, I definitely don't recommended introducing fish to your shrimp tank. However - if your goal is shrimp and fish planted tank, you can maximize your shrimps comfort and help them thrive by making certain choices. In my experience the following choices will effect your success-

TYPE OF FISH (tiny mouth fish or lower hunting drive are best)
HEAVILY PLANTED OR NOT? (Hiding Places!)
WELL FED FISH (won't hunt as much)
KEEPING POPULATION BALANCE (not too many fish)

As you can see the shrimp in this tank are comfortable and throughout the day they are not hiding. I suspect as the endler colony grows, I will have to work at keeping the endler population low by selling or removing them to protect the shrimp!

PLEASE NOTE- ANY TIME you combine fish and shrimp there is always a chance it won't go well. These are tips to help achieve the balance where both can be kept together happily. Proceed with caution
