More than 150 villages of Bemetara district (C.G.), spread over in Saja, Bemetara and Nawagarh blocks spread over were in saline affected. Available water was not potable and saline water was affecting health of the villagers Although some RO purifiers were installed by the Public Health Engineering Department but they were few in numbers and there were problems of their maintenance due to their locations spread over at isolated spaces. To solve this problem Public Health Engineering Department formulated comprehensive scheme for uninterrupted supply of drinking water to affected villages.
