Operation Trashi-I : Search resumes in Kishtwar as security forces hunt terrorists

Search operations have resumed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district as security forces hunt terrorists hiding in dense forest terrain. The joint Army, police and paramilitary operation follows a grenade attack that injured eight soldiers. Drones, sniffer dogs and additional forces have been deployed as security is intensified ahead of Republic Day.

There are reports that eight army soldiers were injured in an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. Two of the injured soldiers are said to be in critical condition.

The encounter took place during a search operation. As soon as the terrorists sensed the movement of the troops, they hurled grenades in the जंगल (forest) and fled.

The Army has named the operation launched around noon as Operation Trashi-I. More details have now emerged about Operation Trashi-I and what exactly happened during the encounter. We bring you a complete report in this video.
