The 2019 European Semester: Future Jobs, Investments and Growth for Ireland and Europe

The European Commission will issue the 2019 Country Specific Recommendations (CSRs) on 5 June 2019. This timely seminar provides an opportunity to discuss the CSRs in the context of an increased focus on how best to deliver smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, promote investment and prepare for the jobs and economy of the future.

About the Speakers:

Regina Doherty T.D., Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection, and Carlos Martínez Mongay, Deputy Director-General of DG Economic and Financial Affairs in the European Commission, delivered keynote addresses at the seminar.

The Panel features Laura Bambrick, Social Policy Officer at the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, Martina Lawless, Associate Research Professor at the ESRI. The seminar was chaired by Dan O’Brien, Chief Economist at the IIEA.
