High School Girls Basketball: Minnetonka vs. Hopkins

We celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day with a Lake Conference rivalry and potential state tournament preview in Class AAAA. Minnetonka is playing their first game without Kiani Lockett, who is out for the season with an ACL injury. Their lineup is still potent, however, with Desiree Ware (Alabama-Birmingham) and a rising talent in Aaliyah Crump. You know the Hopkins story by now, and their starting five continues to hum without a hitch. Amaya Battle (Minnesota) is closing in on 1,000 career points, but she can create some offense through her passing with targets like Nunu Agara (Stanford), Liv McGill, Maya Nnaji (Arizona) and Taylor Woodson.
