华文小剧场节 2013 Chinese Theatre Festival 2013

"小剧场"的演出发生在一个简朴的空间。

乌漆抹黑单调的四堵黑墙，没有华丽的舞台包装，更没有固定的观众席。在着重于"人与空间"的"黑箱剧场"里，观众与表演者接触，近距离观赏演出，感受小剧场空间距离所带来的无数可能性。

2013年，由实践剧场主办的第二届"华文小剧场节"又将于八月开跑。沿袭"小剧场"精神，我们即将呈现数部形式多样的华文剧场原创作品，让本地观众接触并感受华文"小剧场"的魅力。这是一个跨国界、跨文化与多元的华文剧场交流的平台。

今年的"华文小剧场节"将于新加坡艺术学院（SOTA）及新加坡博物馆两个表演场地进行。演出包括：

《初生》来自台湾，交织着真人、戏偶、光影和音乐等元素，以孩子的角度向世界提问，揭示生活的哲理，透过"出生"看待生命的美好。

《当兵姑娘花木兰》以古代传奇人物"花木兰"代父从军的勇敢经历为蓝本的亲子共赏戏剧。

《行者悟空：七个关于理想生活的日常片段》以古代哲人"庄子"的思想及寓言故事为起点，探讨现代人如何才能活的自由的根本问题。

《临界》（1桌2椅实验系列）三位风格迥异的导演，以"一桌二椅、二十分钟、两个演员"为游戏规则，以"临界"为题进行创作的三段富创意与实验性的演出。

Think small, dream big.
A simple space sparks off infinite possibilities.

Go back to basics: Four black walls, a simple stage, some actors, and the audience. A black box theatre focuses on the intricate relationship between man and space, and bridges the distance between the audience, the actors, and the story. It releases our boundless imagination from within the intimacy of the black box theatre.

The second Chinese Theatre Festival organised by The Theatre Practice leaps forth this August. In line with the spirit of the black box theatre, The Chinese Theatre Festival 2013 will showcase a slew of original Chinese language theatre productions, offering local audiences a fine opportunity to unveil the beauty of black box theatre.

The performances under the Chinese Theatre Festival 2013 will take place at the School of the Arts (SOTA) and the National Museum of Singapore.

Programmes include:

See the world through the eyes of a child in La Naissance. This children's show from Taiwan brings together human actors, puppetry and music all into a single performance.

A fresh take on the famous story of legendary heroine Mulan who took her aged father's place in battle, this family-friendly adaptation is sure to capture the hearts of both children and adults alike!

Wanderer-Seeker: A Trek Around My Room uses the classic text written by well-known Chinese philosopher Zhuangzi as a starting point to explore the modern man's search for freedom and an ideal life.

In Threshold (1 Table 2 Chairs Experimental Series), three directors with distinctively different styles work within the rules of "one table, two chairs, twenty minutes, and two actors" to develop three original works of creativity and imagination based on the theme of "Threshold".
