 A DESPERATE CRIMINAL NABBED BY ALERT PATROLLING STAFF OF PS ASHOK VIHAR.

 01 BUTTON ACTUATED KNIFE & 01 ROBBED MOBILE PHONE RECOVERED.

 HE IS ALSO A HISTORY SHEETER OF PS ASHOK VIHAR.

 ACCUSED FOUND TO BE A DREADED CRIMINAL, HAVING INVOLVEMENT IN MORE THAN 19 CASES OF ROBBERY, THEFT, MV THEFT AND ARMS ACT.

 HE STARTED COMMITTING CRIME TO EARN EASY MONEY SO AS TO FULFILL HIS ADDICTION TO DRUGS/ ALCOHOL.

With the arrest of a desperate criminal namely, Amit @ Angrez @ Aros S/o Raja Ram R/o CSA Colony, WPIA, Delhi, Age- 22 Years, alert patrolling staff of PS Ashok Vihar recovered 01 button actuated knife & 01 robbed mobile from his possession. He found to be a dreaded criminal, who started committing crime to earn easy money so as to fulfill his addiction to drugs/ alcohol.

Brief Facts & Incident Details:-
Acting proactively in order to curb crime and criminals in the area, staff was deployed for intensive patrolling in the sensitive areas. On intervening night 16.02.2024, SI Naveen, SI Satender , SI Vinod & HC Karanpal of PS Ashok Vihar were patrolling duty near Railway Line CSA Colony , WPIA, Delhi, when they noticed a suspicious person coming towards CSA Colony, Macchi Market, WPIA, who suddenly changed his route and started running towards opposite side. However, police staff acted swiftly and by displaying keen sense of alertness, overpowered & nabbed him. On enquiry, he was identified as Amit S/o Raja Ram R/o CSA Colony, WPIA, Delhi, Age- 22 Years.

During his cursory search, 01 button actuated knife & 01 mobile phone was recovered from his possession. On verification of recovered mobile phone it was found robbed vide FIR No. 69/24 U/s 392 IPC PS Ashok Vihar.

In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 72/24 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered in PS Ashok Vihar and investigation was taken up.

On sustained interrogation, he confessed 4-5 days ago, he along with his associate namely, Nitish robbed 01 mobile phone from a person near Shalimar Bagh Metro Station Gate No. 5, WPIA, Ashok Vihar during night hours. On verification, he found to be a dreaded criminal, it further revealed that the accused person is a habitual criminal with a history of involvements in 19 criminal cases of Robbery, Theft , MV Theft and Arms Act, registered in PS Ashok Vihar, PS Adarsh Nagar, PS Shalimar Bagh, PS Model Town, PP Sabji Mandi, and Railways. He is also a History Sheeter of PS Ashok Vihar who released from jail recently and he again indulged in crime. He is also a dreaded drug addict. Hence, he started to commit crimes to make easy money and to fulfill his desire for drugs. He also confessed his involvement with his associate namely, Nitish in a robbery case of PS Bharat Nagar, which occurred 5-6 days ago. He further disclosed that he was roaming in the area and looking for easy targets to commit crimes of snatching or robbery.

Further efforts are being made to nabbed his associate and trace his possible involvement in other cases also.

 Amit S/o Raja Ram R/o CSA Colony, WPIA, Delhi, Age- 22 Years. Previous involvement:- 19 Cases of Robbery, Theft, MV Theft and Arms Act.

Recovery:-
• 01 button actuated knife.
• 01 robbed mobile phone.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
