"Babel II: Beyond Infinity" is a 13 episode sci-fi anime, the third animated adaptation of the manga "Babel II" by Mitsuteru Yokoyama. Like many other adaptations of Mitsuteru Yokoyama's works, the series mixes the original story heavily with its own original ideas, as well including concepts from the original 1973 anime.

The story of "Babel II: Beyond Infinity" follows Koichi Kamiya, a boy who discovers powerful psychic ability and inherits the technology of the extraterrestrial Babel who had crash landed on Earth thousands of years ago. Rejecting a recruitment attempt by Hades, a nefarious secret society led by another powerful psychic named Yomi, Koichi instead sets out to destroy the organization. Assisting him are his three servants inherited from Babel, the shapeshifting bioengineered panther Rodem, as well as the robotic bird Ropress and humanoid robot Poseidon.

A distinction of this version is that Koichi largely rejects the identity of Babel II, choosing instead to achieve as much as he can under his original identity. The series also showcases Some distinctions of this version include an expanded view of Koichi's school life, which now provides his first contection with Yomi through a highly exclusive school club.
