Welcome to Angkor, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world.

In this video, we'll take a pilgrimage to the western side of the magnificent Angkor Wat complex, a UNESCO world heritage site & the largest religious structure in the world.

Angkor Wat is a monumental Buddhist & Hindu temple complex located in northern Cambodia. It is the world's largest religious structure & it was built for king Suryavarman II of the Khmer Empire in the early 12th century as his state temple & eventual mausoleum. A religious site revered by both Hindus & Buddhists, it was originally built and dedicated to Vishnu, one of the principal deities of Hinduism. However, towards the end of the 12th century, Angkor Wat gradually transformed from a Hindu center of worship to a Buddhist one which it remains today.
