During the production process, the feed water control valve controls the required flow rate.

For non-speed-controlled pumps and changing process conditions, the Schroedahl valve automatically controls these flow rates. In the case of smaller process quantities, medium may be dissipated via the bypass.

In comparison with the conventional method, flow measurement with orifice, transmitter, controller, the three-way valve and the check valve are not required.

Thereby, a large extent of maintenance costs is saved and the number of error sources is considerably minimised.
