Wards 7 and 8, the two with the highest volume of violent crime in the city, said they desperately need the kind of federal attention other areas have received in recent weeks, since President Trump's takeover began.

7News is asking the Mayor's office, White House staff, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and United States Capitol Police (USCP) how they are actively collaborating with local groups and advocates and plan to in the future.
