1985 - 2019 GM Trucks & Vans Driveshaft Rusted Universal Joint (U-Joint) Repair w/ External Rings

Описание к видео 1985 - 2019 GM Trucks & Vans Driveshaft Rusted Universal Joint (U-Joint) Repair w/ External Rings

In this video we deal with replacing a very rusty U-joint from a 2500 / 3500 grade of GM rear driveshaft (typically 14 bolt rear axle class), going over the many problems you can run into and how to work thru them to get the job done yourself.

The vehicle illustrated is a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban with the 14 bolt rear axle. The procedure and techniques shown are applicable to most any 1985 thru 2019 GM K truck (4WD) and C truck (2WD) types such as the Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Blazer, Chevrolet Cheyenne, or GMC Suburban which use the heavier duty u-joints that have EXTERNAL retaining rings on the cups.

Also applicable to some Holden branded GM trucks in Australia of this same time period with the same driveshaft and axle grades.
