Born in Modesto, Hannah grew up in a loving and stable home, but during her early childhood, a close family member’s depression shaped the emotional climate of their home. A highly sensitive child, she internalized the lie that she was responsible for others’ pain. This planted the seeds of codependency and people-pleasing that spread into every area of her life. Raised in church, she learned to equate being 'good' with being loved. Over time, she became deeply disconnected from her own emotions, running on an internal treadmill of performance, approval, and control. In college, all this unresolved pain found an outlet through compulsive exercise, food restriction, and ultimately, an eating disorder. Her turning point came when an important relationship flamed out. That drove her to finally reach out for help and to attend CELEBRATE RECOVERY!
