Moore Fashion Design Juniors Collaborate with Philadelphia Ballet on Costume Design Experience

Описание к видео Moore Fashion Design Juniors Collaborate with Philadelphia Ballet on Costume Design Experience

For the second year of this hands-on collaboration, 11 juniors in Moore College of Art & Design’s Fashion Design program worked with the Philadelphia Ballet on a costume design project inspired by The Nutcracker®.

Under the advisement of Moore faculty and Philadelphia Ballet staff, students worked in teams to design costumes based on four Nutcracker characters: Coffee, Candy Cane, Hot Chocolate and Tea. Dancers from the Philadelphia Ballet II company performed in the costumes for the opening of the exhibition Reimagining a Holiday Classic: Costume Designs Inspired by The Nutcracker® at Moore in January 2024. The costumes also walked the runway at Moore’s annual Fashion Show on May 10, 2024.

Watch our video feature on the collaboration and hear from the talented students and dedicated staff and faculty involved in this real-world educational experience.
