Sabze Maidan is the name of an old square in Rasht, which is located near the city's municipal square. This square is connected to Shahdari Square by Alam Al-Hadi street.[1]

This square was reconstructed and improved during the reign of Mohammad Wali Khan Tankabani during the reign of Naseruddin Shah Qajar and since then it has become a public promenade. Before the Islamic revolution, this square was named Farah Park after Shahbanu Farah Pahlavi.

Today, it has a green space, a public library and statues of famous Gilan Shion Fomeni, Professor Fazlullah Reza, Dr. Mahmoud Behzad, Professor Majid Samii and Professor Hassan Akbarzadeh.
