warmup: Sightreading

ok, i usually begin all of my practice sessions with sightreading. Sightreading is really good for developing audiation skills if you dont already have em. Im pretty good at this by now, i've been doing it for a while. Audiation is the ability to hear music in your head as you read it on paper. and you dont have to have to be a great audiator to excel at sightreading.
The best sightreader of all times is said to have been Franz Liszt, the greatest pianist of all times- For his technical skills surpassed those of our beloved mozart and beethoven. to those wishing to become sightreaders, practice technique (like 90% of the time and actual songs like 10% of the time, because the songs are nothing but variations of technical challenges. Technique is the key because alot of music presents itself as a pattern after you get into it. and by then the music will be easy to learn because you'll already know the mechanics behind the piece. which is why i can play all of mozarts' , clementi's, beethoven's and even more composers sonatas, concertos, & other works by simply sightreading.
