Ken Rona on Gaining Emotional Intelligence to Better Manage Teams

In Chapter 10 of 17 in his 2014 Capture Your Flag interview, digital media executive Ken Rona answers "How Are Your Job Responsibilities Changing as Your Experience Grows?" As Rona gains experience and engages with more people and groups at work, he finds making the personal connection into helping create space for team members to deal with challenges in and outside of work is key to his success. This ranges from teaching diplomacy to creating a familial culture of trust. Ken Rona is currently Founder and CEO of YourCall.tv, a digital media startup allowing anyone to become a broadcaster. At the time of this interview, he was a VP Audience Data and Analysis Platforms at Turner Broadcasting. Rona earned a BA and MA from Stony Brook University and a PhD in Behavioral Economics from Duke University.
