Lucifer Enslaves Eve | Hazbin Hotel Swap AU Animatic

Story: Cain and Abel were only the beginning. The Morningstars would never stop coming after the rest of humanity and this drove Eve to a breaking point. Adam was dead and while she had Seth around to help with the family, it wasn't enough. The First Family was fractured and actively under attack. Eve, like Adam, has unconditional love for her children and wants nothing more than to protect them before they even fall. She had many regrets in life and was devastated at failing not only to protect Abel, but also Cain from being tempted.

In a last ditch effort, Eve confronted Lucifer. She naively hoped that by sacrificing herself, he would be satisfied in stopping his crusade. After all, wasn't she a prize? The woman who brought Original Sin into existence? Selling her soul terrified her but motherly love would always win. This did intrigue Lucifer so they struck a deal: in exchange for Eve, the next generation would be spared. Eve would be dragged to Hell, prevented from ever reuniting with Abel and Adam. She loves them both but at least they were safe. Her other kids weren't.

Eve was mistreated, obviously. Charlie would taunt how she was the one responsible for tempting Cain to sin. Lucifer would force her to relive the worst moments of her life and remind her how she would never see Adam again. Lilith would constantly demean her, chip away at her sanity and make her out to be inferior. Lilith had regrets and resented Eve over getting to be the Mother of Humanity. Of course, Lilith had only herself to blame for her situation yet was too prideful to admit it. Lucifer never forced Lilith to abandon Adam, she just thought that getting with a seraphim was an upgrade. No one was there for Eve, Cain had already escaped Hell (with his “””beloved”” girlfriend (kinda?) Awan) and the rest of the First Family didn't know what she had done.

After some years did she notice that there weren't just hellborn anymore, sinners started showing up in Hell. Eve was livid but Lucifer revealed that he tricked her. He did indeed keep his word that the next generation would be left alone. He never said the generations that followed after that would be spared. That subtle loophole broke her. She fell into his trap. Her soul was his and she had nothing to show for it.

In a fit of emotion, she tried to break free but using his powers, he encased Eve into a tree. From that tree, fruit would bloom. In order for the fruit to blossom, parts of Eve’s soul were ripped from her. This fruit is what Charlie uses when tempting humans on Earth. One bite and the urge to sin would be irresistible.

Eve was desperate to atone for her sin and in the end, she became the thing she wanted to save her children from.

FINALLY, 1 MONTH LATER I AM BACK AND I AM NOT DOING A SUPER LONG ANIMATIC ANYTIME SOON AAA. ok, I am definitely in the “Roo is Eve” theory camp. This is a Swap AU but some things work better when there isn't a swap. I wanted Roo to exist here but with a twist: Roo is not spreading evil on purpose, she's a tragic figure whose soul is being used to drag people into the sin she wanted to prevent. Lucifer is the Big Bad evil here, not Roo. This is meant to reinforce that. The Morningstars made Eve the new Tree of Knowledge since the other one is locked away in Eden. No one can get into Eden, God made sure of that. Because Eve ate the original apple, part of its essence was still within her body and that seed was enough to morph her into the Tree. You're inclined to sin after eating the apple because Eve is Mom and you're inclined to listen to whatever Mom tells you to do. That's how the magic of it works.
