Explore a broad range of literature and culture from Britain, North America and the English-speaking world covering the 19th and 20th centuries. On our master’s you will have the chance to delve into a range of research topics and texts including Victorian Studies, Modernism, and American Studies with choices ranging from lyric poetry to the graphic novel. You'll be studying at one of the oldest English departments in the country in a fantastic central London location where you'll get the chance to explore the literature of the 19th and 20th centuries in a place where that literary history actually took place.
