This video is intended as a helpful tool when you are ready to clean your apt for your move out. It does not include all of the cleaning that needs to be done in order to receive a full deposit refund. Please see the list below for more tips on what we will be looking for. We encourage you to allow enough time for an inspection before your keys are due to the office in case there are items missed that you would like to clean.
*Clean the floor under the stove, refrigerator, and washer/dryer.
*Remove all items from the apt, double check cabinets and hard to see areas.
*Leave refrigerator plugged in and turn down to #1.
*DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANSER ON SHOWER OR BATHROOM SINKS.
*Lift cook top and clean under burner area. Clean and wipe down exterior.
*If you fill nail holes, wipe off excess with wet sponge, however, it may be less expensive if we fill them.
*Clean under the lid and around the barrel of the washing machine.

*THINGS MOST OFTEN OVERLOOKED! BASEBOARDS, HOT WATER HEATER CLOSET, INSIDE KITCHEN DRAWERS, CABINETS, WINDOW TRACKS, FAUCET FIXTURES, MOLDING AROUND DOORS, CLOSETS, LIGHT PLATES, LIGHT FIXTURES & REFRIGERATOR SEALS.

CHECKLIST
KITCHEN:
___ All counter tops and edges cleaned ___ Stove and oven thoroughly cleaned
___ Range hood & vent filter cleaned (screen pops out) ___ Remove stains from sink and faucets
___ Cabinets & drawers wash out, remove lining paper, etc ___ Place all garbage in dumpster
____ Remove everything under sink & clean vinyl, also vinyl in water heater closet
____ Pull out stove and refrigerator, clean the sides, underneath, & racks (remove ALL black spots from oven)
____ Refrigerator, clean inside & out, including seals (DO NOT USE SHARP OBJECTS TO REMOVE ICE)
BEDROOMS & CLOSETS:
___ Wash and dry closet shelves ___ Dust baseboards and moldings
___ Outlet covers ___ Light fixtures & ceiling fans
BATHROOMS:
___ Scrub bathtub & remove stains from faucet ___ Remove stains from sink and faucets
___ Toilet cleaned & ring removed ___ Pop up caps over toilet seat hinges to clean
___ Shower doors and tracks cleaned ___ Clean tile & grout around tub
___ Clean mirror, dust top ___ Detail all chrome knobs on fixtures
___ Light fixtures ___ Outlet covers
OVERALL:
___ Washer & Dryer (inside & outside) ___ Be sure to vacuum all carpet, incl. edges
___ Wash windows (inside) ___ Clean window sills, & tracks
___ All glass light fixtures removed and washed ___ All walls spot cleaned
___ All wall switches cleaned ___ All vinyl and tile floors
___ Dust all baseboards and moldings ___ Clean heater/AC vents
___ Clean hot water heater area ___ Detail all water fixtures
____ All mini blinds cleaned (Be careful, slats will bend)
PORCH & FRONT DOOR:
___ Front door washed ___ Porch & patio swept, stains removed,
___ Railings washed ___ Welcome mats removed
***Carpets must be professionally cleaned, EITHER by a carpet cleaning service, (leave the receipt on the counter), OR we can do it for you after you have moved out. If you have a problem scheduling the service, please let us do it so that you do not have to pay extra rent. Our prices are very competitive with the professionals and we will just take the charge out of your deposit.
