Pelar flies Izzie and Maddie to Mackinac (KMCD) for the day.

After long anticipation, we finally got weather to cooperate just enough on a Saturday with no other plans, so we got up early and made the flight from Pontiac (KPTK) to Mackinac Island in Michigan (KMCD). We had a great flight and captured the live ATC audio on the new GoPro setup. The weather held out and we did a little scud running on the way home, but were able to remain VFR. The girls and I had a great time on the island and we made memories we'll cherish forever. This is why I learned to fly. In many ways, this was a dream come true that's been a long time coming. I can't wait for the next adventure: Ben and Sophie to Marion Indiana to visit their cousins.
