In this video I finish the work on my vintage Teisco Kawai (or maybe Suzuki!) guitar. I match and repair the paint, but keep its patina. I mod the pickups with better shielding, to be less microphonic, and to be hum-cancelling as a pair. I also modify the wiring with a series parallel switch and a no-load tone pot. Then I make a custom brass quick release hardtail that retains the original chrome cover. Plus I install a tune-o-matic bridge for fine intonation adjustment. I also make a new bone nut from scratch. Finally I shim the neck and set up the guitar, then record a short demo. One track is a clean tone with the pickups in parallel, and the other channel has the pickups in series with a bit of dirt.
